GREENROSE is in the forefront of sustainable and ecological practices. it just makes economic, environmental, and social sense. all of us at greenrose want to have a viable farm for many years to come. The ecological concern is oriented to prevention, control and rehabilitation of possible environmental impacts. Three are the areas that are considered:
HANDLING AND DISEASE CONTROL IN THE FIELD
Limited USE of chemical agents approved by international firms as well as reduced or non usage of pesticides is Producnorte’s philosophy. Also the application of all products is done under the most strict observations of people’s health and industrial security:
PEOPLE’S HEALTH AND INDUSTRIAL SECURITY
In this area, the main objective is to maintain and improve the health of all the people that works in the different areas in the farm. Adequate information and required equipment is provided to each and all employee in the different areas in order to maintain a healthy and secure environment.
HANDLING OF LIQUID AND SOLID WATERS
We produce over 600,000 lbs of organic compost per year which is then incorporated into our soils as fertilizer. we recycle all glass, plastic, and paper and deliver the material to recycling centers.
Recyclable wastes like glasses, metals, plastics and papers are classified and delivered to specialized recycling institutions.
Dangerous wastes like chemicals containers are delivered to specialized institutions in the handling of these materials.
